Position Overview

Valitana is seeking a dedicated Infrastructure Engineer to support day-to-day operations and internal IT needs while developing foundational skills in cloud and platform engineering. The individual in this role will help ensure operational stability and will enable senior engineers to focus on scalable platform improvements.

Responsibilities
  • Support new hire onboarding (device setup, access provisioning, Intune configuration)
  • Handle IT and infrastructure support requests from internal teams
  • Monitor systems, alerts, and basic health checks
  • Assist with security patching and vulnerability tracking/remediation
  • Support AWS operational tasks under guidance (resource reviews, basic automation)
  • Maintain and improve documentation and runbooks
  • Track and manage work via Jira and internal systems

Qualifications
  • 2–5+ years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or cloud/infrastructure environments
  • Basic understanding of security best practices (patching, vulnerability management)
  • Experience with monitoring, logging, or observability tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Datadog, Splunk, or similar)
  • Basic knowledge of networking concepts (DNS, TCP/IP, VPNs)
  • Familiarity with Windows environments and endpoint management systems (e.g., Intune, MDM tools)
  • Experience with or exposure to identity and access management concepts
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage tasks and communicate clearly using tools like Jira or similar systems
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Willingness to learn and grow in cloud and platform engineering
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple requests in a fast-paced environment
  • Collaborative mindset and clear communication with both technical and non-technical teams
  • Proactive approach to identifying issues and suggesting improvements

What We Offer

Base salary range for this role is $80,000 - $120,000. Valitana offers a competitive compensation package including base salary and an annual performance bonus. Employees receive a comprehensive benefits package that includes an employer-matched retirement plan, healthcare with medical, dental, vision, telemedicine, and PTO.

Employees in this role will work in the office Monday through Wednesday with the flexibility to work remotely Thursday and Friday.
